HUGS!

While eating dinner tonite [steak tips], through all the talk that occurs at our dinner table. Our daughter asked to be excused. She then gave the biggest hug. Might I say our daughter comes from two GREAT huggers. Then she said the most adorable thing, "I will hug you forever like this.". It just about brought a tear to my eye.
My Take:
Hugs are one of the GREATEST things to give. They are free and they are invaluable. Hug the ones you love; mothers, fathers, brothers, friends. That truly shows how much you care.

"Just one sip."

Every morning when I awake for my day I brew a pot of coffee or two... My daughter as soon as she arises and until I leave will always be asking for "Just one sip." She loves coffee and calls herself the "Java Queen". It is never more than wanting just one sip although it is many sips over the course of my time until I leave for work. She is satisfied with that one sip even if it is the only sip she gets. I love my daughter for how she is not greedy, she is very satisfied with what it is she has even if it is only "Just one sip."

My take:

All things in life should be like this. "One sip at a time" She savoirs it and enjoys it as though it may be her only. Imagine if today everything you encountered and enjoyed you looked at it as though it was your only one. Maybe we as adults could enjoy more things and take less for granted. Today i am going to take it "One sip at a time".

Super Flush

Today while shopping my daughter needed to use the bathroom. She has always been terrified by the violent suction at which the "super Flush" Toilets discard of the waste. Today she said, "I can do it all by myself !" She told me how she had done it the day before without any trouble. We enter the bathroom and to my amazement she entered it by herself and did her deed and "SWOOSH" she reemerged undaunted by the "Super Flush". She was so proud of herself we gave High Fives and went on about our shopping.
My Take:
Maybe we should all face those fears of ours, what ever they may be. Today my daughter faced one of hers with what seemed to be ease. She prevailed victorious and made me proud and feel as though there is nothing to fear but the fear itself.
